So today I took Momma Kim up to NYC to go back to Kleinfeld’s. Showed her the dress everyone liked last time we were there…

and she said…

an AMAZING NYC trip =D

First off…I LOVE my girls. =D Thank you wifey Liz, Diana, Christina, Sarah, and Stella for waking yourselves up at the butt crack of dawn and getting yourselves to my house at 6am to leave for NYC, walking for blocks on end with me, supporting me through all the craziness I put you through for this wedding…=P And VaGINA~<3 ur boobies. Hannah unni…I just LOVE you *MUAH*

I think you know when you’ve found it when you’re crying that you can’t afford it and he won’t be able to see you in it…ever…

why am I crying over a dress that I’m only going to wear for one day?

*sigh*

Say Yes to the Dress!

So I recently discovered the show Say Yes to the Dress that takes place at Kleinfeld’s Manhattan.

It seems like every single episode there is at least one bride and mother who disagree on the price of the dress.

So I know I’m not alone…

Momma Kim would FREAK if she knew how much “THE DRESS” costs. =(

She expressed the other day, “you know…spending a couple thousand dollars on a dress you’re never going to wear again is stupid. That money could be spent wisely elsewhere, like towards your future home or other costs of the wedding…NECESSARY things…”

This makes me afraid to show her “THE DRESS” because she is going to say no based solely on the price of it. Doesn’t matter that I LOVE it and am probably going to re-sell it after the wedding because I’m never going to wear it again and some other bride deserves to have it be “THE DRESS” as well…

*sigh*

am I setting myself up for disappointment again?

I absolutely LOVE the Wedding Coordinator at FF. Even though it has been a pain in the butt to try and get an appointment with him (we’ve been trying since November)…I LOVE him. We finally met with him Monday morning. This man is BUSY…yet he basically said he would research for all the rentals we need for the reception, HE himself will be making some of the food for the reception…the absolute BEST crabcake I have ever had…and he wants to make sure everything goes smoothly and we can try to relax the day of…meaning he’s going to make sure the tent is ok, waitstaff will set up tables and props and everything…etc etc…

and he kept saying, “everything is possible and I will do my best to make your day the absolute best for you.” I’m sorry…how do you not fall in love with a MAN who says that to you about your wedding???!!! Don’t worry…I’m still marrying Jae…the guy is MUCH older and happily married…which is even more surprising that he’s the wedding coordinator for this restaurant. =D

In other news…I have now caught FEVER! I really really want to find my dress now…so I’ve been calling boutiques in DC to make appointments for their upcoming trunk shows. sooooooo…I have 2 appointments this Saturday. One is a Monique Lhuillier Trunk Show at Carine’s Bridal Atelier and the other is a VERA WANG FALL 2010 Trunk Show at Saks Jandel. Both are in DC and both are within 2 hours of each other which is great since the appointments go for an hour apiece. =D

Next up, need to make a Kleinfeld’s appt in NYC for possibly in March. =D

Thanks to my girls who have been sending me links about Bridal sales and shows…I really do appreciate it because I don’t always know what’s going on in the community. =D

Was hoping to try on dresses there, but they have this complicated system where I have to have a wedding date set with them and a contract or some craziness and then I get to try on dresses…which we didn’t do. I’m sorry Eli…you’ll miss all the dress trying on….=*(

Thank you Michelle for the recommendation! Today…dun dun dun…we checked out Carine’s Bridal Atelier in Georgetown for their sample sale! EEEEEPPPPP!!!! I FINALLY GOT TO TRY ON DRESSES!!!!! Thanks to my loverlies MOH and Stellar for coming with me!!!! It was HOT in there but we did have fun…=D
